The Bellenden Brasserie have just opened their doors and chef Eric Allangba has set out his goals for this local establishment, which are still based around 'quality' and 'consistency' of the food, staff and atmosphere.

The perfect summer venue with French sliding doors making it a cool, airy oasis and a cosy outdoor terraced area where you can watch the world go by. Along with subtle lighting, a warm atmosphere, local artwork adorning the walls and well selected music playing, it's a venue for any season.

Even though newly opened, people are already flocking through its doors to sample the heavily French influenced menu. On our visit, we were served a plate of well selected cured meats with an additional side of Salad Lorraine ? a simple yet delicious starter, accompanied by a crisp, dry bottle of French ros? from Provence, which worked extremely well with the meal on a hot barmy night.

As mains, we chose the sirloin steak with b?arnaise sauce and saut?ed potatoes and tuna served on a bed of glass noodles with apple salsa and mango sauce, both dishes were individually stunning.

For dessert, we shared a Cr?me Brul?e, finished off the wine and left feeling happy and confident that this truly wonderful local restaurant have it right from start to finish.
